This is a heads-up about planned work on EMWIN, NLETS and NCO. Brief interruptions are expected during the work window rather than something having gone wrong.

EMWIN is the Emergency Managers Weather Information Network, a satellite and internet feed of NWS products, NLETS is the law-enforcement message network NWS uses to reach public safety agencies and NCO is NWS Central Operations, which runs the computing behind the forecast models.

For most people this is invisible — forecasts keep coming. It matters most to anyone pulling NWS data directly, and to forecasters who lean on the affected feed.
